To celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship and youth, the Government of Rajasthan will be hosting Rajasthan IT Day on 19th – 21st March 2023 in Jaipur Rajasthan. The purpose of the three-day multi- faceted event is to bring together the youth, startups, investors, corporates, partners and academia at one stage and facilitate interaction and collaboration with government and public at large. The event will be addressed by Hon’ble Chief Minister and is expected to witness 50K attendees, including, various dignitaries, industry bodies, startup CEO’s & founders, celebrities and other startup ecosystem enablers from across the country.

The key components of Rajasthan IT Day are as under:

• Carnival & Run: Rajasthan Carnival & Run 2023 will start in the evening of 19th March, 2023 from the Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) and the finishing point will be the University Commerce College, Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg, Jaipur. The route would take runners from the Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) onto the main Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg up to the Takhteshahi Road and back on the opposite site of the same road to University Commerce College. It is a run to celebrate Rajasthan’s world class IT Ecosystem and to most importantly to celebrate Rajasthan IT Day 2023.

• Hackathon: Rajasthan IT Day will also organize a world class Hackathon where participants would be showcasing their coding skills over a 24-hour non-stop coding competition. Coders, developers & designers will be given a platform to use their cutting-edge technique and inventive methods on themes spread across sectors and industries.

• Mega Job Fair: Department of Information Technology & Communication (DoIT&C) is organizing Job Fair at Commerce College, Jaipur on 20-21st March 2023. Government of Rajasthan is committed to provide better future to youth and immense opportunities to all students, who are pursuing higher/ technical education in the State, to seek job opportunities in the company of their choice. It is expected that about 400 plus companies with bulk vacancies in various areas like Information Technology, Consulting, Automobiles, Call Centers, Finance, Manufacturing and many more are likely to participate for IT Mega Job-Fair.

• IT Expo: Government of Rajasthan has undertaken various e-Governance initiatives to provide services to the masses. The IT Expo pavilion shall cover these initiatives which has directly or in-directly benefited the rural and urban masses. It will exhibit various technologies and applications which enabled delivery of services to the last mile.

• Round-table Conferences: Various industry bodies and startup ecosystem enablers are being invited to host and participate in both closed door as well as open platform discussions which will involve various stakeholders of the startup and youth ecosystems. The speakers invited for these conferences, power talks, fireside chats, panel discussions and various knowledge sessions from across the country will not only provide first hand feedback to the government but will also be creating linkages for the startups and other key stakeholders of the ecosystem.

• Startup Expo: This will be the largest exhibition of products and services by the startups of the state at one common platform. 100+ iStart recognized startups, startups representing various universities and ATL’s, from across the state are expected to showcase their offerings giving them a direct market access and facilitate their interactions/ pitch before the governmental officials for possible procurement purposes.

• Startup Bazaar: This will be the startup market place wherein around 80+ physical product-based startups would be showcasing and selling their products to the varied range of audiences visiting the festival including SHGs and startups from rural areas.

• Extending Funding to Startups: Under the purview of Rajasthan Startup Policy 2022, the Evaluation Committee meeting would be organized during the Rajasthan IT Day wherein the funding under different categories will be provided to various innovative iStart registered startups. Also, a series of multiple investor pitching rounds have been planned in association with renowned angel investors and venture capitalists’ firms.
