Rajasthan DigiFest has grown into an esteemed and highly anticipated tech startup event attracting thousands of emerging entrepreneurs, business dignitaries, and aspiring students.

Since its advent, Rajasthan DigiFest has developed an ecosystem on success in Rajasthan which inspires and supports ideas, develop breakthrough innovations and create world-class enterprises. Planned, designed and curated by Department of Information Technology and Communications, Rajasthan DigiFest was a revolutionary digital festival that united million ideas by entrepreneurs, innovators, inventors and provides a lucrative platform to showcase them.

Rajasthan DigiFest became the ideal location for ingenious individuals who were looking to garner attention, acquire knowledge, secure funding or build connections with Government of Rajasthan, Angel Investors, and Venture Capital organizations. The two-day mega event witnessed eminent speakers discussing on thought-provoking ideas, display of latest innovations in the field of IT, workshops for emerging startups and students and the unveiling of latest citizen-centric projects by Government of Rajasthan.

Rajasthan DigiFest also hosted Hackathon 3.0, a 24-hour, multi-topic, innovation marathon for coders, developers, designers, inventors and all-around creators. Individuals and teams from across the country competed for the opportunity to incubate their winning ideas and the potential to bring it to life! The top three winning teams got a chance to win a contract with Department of Information Technology & Communication, Government of Rajasthan worth Rs.15 Lacs, Rs.10 Lacs and Rs.7.5 Lacs respectively.

The Government of Rajasthan introduced Hackathon to identify creative individuals and teams who can assist the Government in solving citizen-centric issues by offering digital yet sustainable solutions to solve real-time challenges on platforms like Bhamashah, e-Mitra Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, AR/VR, Blockchain, Bioinformatics, IOT and Tourism.

The event was honored by the presence of dignitaries of Government of India and Government of Rajasthan; officers of Government of Rajasthan, specifically Department of Industries, BIP, Finance Department, Department of Information Technology & Communication; IT industrialists and members of Rajasthan Venture Capital fund.

The second edition of Rajasthan DigiFest took place at Udaipur, Rajasthan. Often known as “Venice of East”, Udaipur is a leading tourist destination in the world. Apart from being a tourism hub, Udaipur is also blossoming into an economic hub with numerous opportunities for start-ups and IT innovators.

Rajasthan has become the favoured destination for emerging entrepreneurs owing to the state’s vast potential and resources in the field of minerals, tourism, handicrafts, renewable energy, etc. The state is fast becoming the next startup hub of India due to its social and physical infrastructure, low cost of living, excellent connectivity and city traffic, the large number of technical and professional colleges, etc.

Along with the technological fest, Government of Rajasthan (GoR) also organised Hackathon 2.0 in Kota. Rajasthan Hackathon 2017- Kota, was a 24-hour coding marathon which promoted Information Technology and e-Governance. The purpose of Hackathon 2.0 was to give a platform to enterprising youth, startups & entrepreneurs across the nation and use their out-of-the-box thinking various themes.

Rajasthan is bustling with high entrepreneurial energy and in order to further boost this ecosystem, the state government launched India’s biggest digital festival. ‘Rajasthan Digi Fest Kota’ acted as a platform for Startups to display their expertise and efficiency and seek possibilities of support from Government and Venture Capital organizations for scaling up. It was a one of its kind innovation fest that united the voices of emerging entrepreneurs & startups from the field of IT and eGovernance.

The state government recognized the power of creative thinkers in wealth creation and empowerment of technology. By conducting Hackathon 2.0, GoR provided a platform to developers who seek possibilities of support from Government to showcase their skills and capabilities. The top three winning teams signed a contract with Department of Information Technology & Communication, Government of Rajasthan worth Rs.15 Lacs, Rs.10 Lacs and Rs.7.5 Lacs respectively.

Boosting the technological space in state, Government of Rajasthan organised Rajasthan IT Day 2017 on the theme, “Skills for employability”.

Rajasthan IT Day 2016


A startup is an idea which needs a considerable amount of planning for final action with an outcome of achievement. It is an assortment of new ideas and cognitive skills with a persistent effort.

The government of Rajasthan recognises the power of small technology-driven startups in wealth creation and employment generation. The state is committed to creating a comprehensive ecosystem where startups would grow & prosper and form a significant part of the mainstream economy. To further advance Rajasthan Startup scenario, Department of IT and Communications, Government of Rajasthan organised the first state IT Day – Rajasthan IT Day 2016.

It was a day’s event that promoted Startups in Rajasthan in the field of Information Technology. It was honoured by the presence of senior representatives of Government of India and Government of Rajasthan; representatives of Startup India; members of Rajasthan Venture Capital fund; officers of Government of Rajasthan, specifically Department of Industries, BIP, Finance Department, Department of Information Technology & Communication; various startups from the State, venture capitalists, hedge fund investors, IT industrialists.

The fest acted as a platform for Startups to display their expertise and efficiency and sought for a valuable support from the Government and Venture Capital organizations.
